Attended this time for the RecipeTin Eats Lunch event, for Good Food Month with wines by First Creek. The staff were all absolutely delightful, and the service was excellent as always! The organisation was thoughtfully executed. We attend here for special occasions and also for some of their events as they do events like this very well! Price was $160pp for 3 courses, bread and bottomless wine. NOTE: It can be quite sunny during the lunch service so choose your seating with some care! If at an event, and you don’t get much choice they were thoughtfully offering sunscreen 😂
We had the degustation menu and there was plenty of food. All was delicious but the pork belly was amazing. Could just fit dessert in. Wait staff were awesome, as were the cocktails. Would thoroughly recommend. Loved the experience so much. Just be mindful, it’s a big restaurant so it’s fairly noisy.

It was our first time at The Roundhouse and we were very impressed. We had the set menu as we were going to see a show at The Civic. Although it was a very early start (5.30pm) the food was outstanding and the staff were exceptional. Our server, Janice, was very helpful and friendly and the wine waiter showed a good knowledge of the wine list and found us the perfect rose for our meal. Highly recommended.
Waiter Jack was exceptional and made our experience amazing. Thankyou for going above and beyond! Chef Heinrich’s 6 course creations was also amazing We would Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
Top class service, view and quality food. I would recommend every fish lovers to try the snapper dish in the mains, so far it’s the best I have tried in last 5 years. Being a fan of seafood especially fish, this has been a unique experience and staffs has been super friendly and welcoming.
Certainly a fine dining experience. The staff were very attentive without being invasive, and the food came out in excellent time. We paid the extra to have a seat near the window, and I feel like if you're going to come here, it's worth the cost for the view. The cocktails, while nice, felt a bit small. Overall, it was a lovely experience.
The food was top notch. The staff were friendly and looked after our every need. A 3 course for $98. You can add extras if you like also. I got the steak and it was perfect. The cheese platter was very nice and my friend who got the dessert also said his was very good. Highly recommend for a good quality meal.
This was our second time dining at Roundhouse, and it definitely did not disappoint! This time I enjoyed a delicious mocktail 😊. The staff were super friendly, and the restaurant was fully booked — such a great atmosphere! Another fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Newcastle!
From the moment we were greeted our experience was wonderful. The view over the harbour was beautiful, we could see a fair way up the coast 😀 the service is exceptional, relaxed and professional. We ordered the 3 course ($98 a head)but you could order the 6 course chefs tastings ($120a head)plus whatever you choosetodrink. We ordered side dishes which are quite a good size portion and very delicious ,the pumpkin feta with balsamic...yum! Following with the broccoli . The deserts were not disappointing either. They do not accept cash or split bills. You won't be disappointed
